Joseph Esherick holds a revered place in the pantheon of the great contemporary American architects of the 20th Century. Along with William Wurster, Gardner Dailey, Richard Neutra and, of course, Frank Lloyd Wright, Joseph Esherick has become synonymous with mid-century architecture. Soaring ceilings, fluid lines void of ornamentation, and light-infused spaces that are both inviting and inspiring.  The Larsen House is one of the finest examples of Joseph Esherick’s unique and creative vision.

Built in 1962, 2610 Scott has never traded hands nor has the architectural integrity of the house been tampered with. The original owners who shared Esherick’s initial concept and masterful design have lovingly maintained the property.  It was Mrs. Larsen who wanted a spiral staircase, finding it beautiful and the hallmark of a home. The architects gave her something extraordinary, supremely elegant stairs that were allowed to float freely in space.
